PAT RAKOWSKI
COMMENTARY, SHORT STORIES, BOOKS
About
Pat Rakowski is a native Philadelphian whose commentary pieces were first published in the Art Museum Area Home News, a small neighborhood newspaper, and later in The Philadelphia Inquirer. When she retired from the insurance industry, Northeast Florida beckoned, and she and her husband now live near the ocean with their two small dogs.

Six of Pat's short stories have been chosen for publication in the Florida Writers Association's annual Collection books, and several have appeared in the FWA quarterly magazine. She continues to write commentary, which is currently published in the Beaches Leader newspaper.

Her book, Sliding into Home Base, Searching for Sophia, combines memoir and
commentary in a quest for wisdom through five decades of change. It is available
at www.lulu.com.

Besides writing, Pat enjoys volunteering for several local non-profits, walking
the beach, jazz, classical music, and reading.
